Lucy lends her hand to everything that is required. Lucy’s strengths are motivation skills, organisation and inspiring us all to achieve our goals. A keen skier and gardener she like to apply her extensive business experience to making all our jobs easier.
Alastair Ward
Managing Director
Alastair works closely with Lucy running the business. A chef who has worked for great names like Rick Stein, Michael Caines and Charlie Trotter in the past which brings huge food knowledge and a grasp of customer expectations. A keen hockey player and hockey coach.
Giles Prime
Finance and Operations Director
Giles runs our accounts department and also operations and logistics. He is a keen figures man so not much get past him if you are late paying or if there is no remittance with the payment! A keen cyclist, Giles thinks nothing of cycling 100 plus miles and shooting up a hill or mountain.
Colin Welch
Purchasing
There is nothing Colin does not know about buying. He has been in the Food Wholesale for nearly 30 years and has encyclopaedic knowledge of the trade. Colin is a long suffering Ipswich Town fan.
Hazel Breeze
Sales
Hazel knows cheese from cheesecake. She had 7 years of management experience running pubs in Suffolk before joining the Elm Valley team. With a sense of humour and adventure, she recently enjoyed the trip of a life time; exploring the Galapagos Islands and Peru.
Angela Juliano
Sales
Our resident vegetarian but she will happily sell our beautiful pancetta and cured meats with gusto. A quick witted mistress of the telesales department which she controls with fantastic attention to detail. No invoice leaves the office without Angela’s approval. An addict of handbags, no one has more. The last count was 78!
John Cullen
Manager - Late Shift
John runs the night shift, manning the phones and overseeing picking and overnight ordering. He is a stickler for detail and articulate handover notes. A great family man who is hugely proud of his two sons. Hugely polite and regularly drawing compliments from customers.
Tim
Customer Support - Late Shift
Tim works the late shift, manning the phones and the warehouse. He enjoys cycling and running and in his free time likes to watch Mixed Martial Arts.
Andy
Driver
Andy is the newest member of the Elm Valley team. Always cheerful he is already a big hit with customers. A family man and an Ipswich Town season ticket holder for 33 years, he likes to relax over a game of darts.
Barry
Driver
A stalwart of the business and a firm customer favourite. No task is too great for Barry, helpful, consistent and his catchphrase is "I always deliver-on time". A keen fisherman when away from work so always expect tales from the riverside....
Ivan
Driver
Ivan is calm and unflappable even under pressure, he is a real team player. In his spare time he enjoys playing football and is a motor racing enthusiast.
Lee
Warehouse and Driver
Lee works in the warehouse and is our relief driver. Lee is a keen Liverpool supporter and loves coarse fishing, when he can make time away from his large family.
Bernie
Driver
Bernie puts the rest of us to shame with his good nature and enthusiasm. He is always the first to put himself forward for the early morning runs and is a customer favourite.
Jai
Customer Support
The yougest member of our team, Jai has had broad responsibilities having supervised picking and packing in the warehouse. He is currently providing Customer Support maternity cover and we are sure our customers will enjoy his can do attitude. He is a keen sportsman, particularly enjoying football and badminton. Jai has just bought his first home and is getting into gardening.
